Balkan's Splendour and Diversity, 8 days / 7 nights
Day 1: ZAGREB
Arrival at Zagreb International Airport. Meet your Tour Escort and transfer to to hotel. Accommodation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: ZAGREB – NP Kopački Rit - OSIJEK (287 km)
After breakfast at hotel, guided City Tour of Zagreb. After Sightseeing, departure by coach towards Kopački Rit Nature Park, located near the point where rivers Drava and Danube joining together, carrying on further towards the Black Sea. Over 2.000 biological species live there, many of which are rare and endangered species at the global and European levels. The visit to the Nature Park includes: entrance fee, presentation of the park at the Visitors center, boat ride, visit to Eblin farm, Tikveš Castle Complex and professional guide. Lunch on route. After Kopački Rit, drive to Osijek. Upon arrival, accommodation at hotel. In the evening, transfer to the local restaurant for the traditional dinner with gipsy music. Return back to hotel and overnight.
Day 3: OSIJEK – SARAJEVO (323 km)
Breakfast at hotel and morning city tour of Osijek, the largest city in Eastern Croatia, with an old-fashioned Tourist Tram that made its first trips through the city way back in 1926. Conductors wear the attire of their predeccesors from the 1920's and each passenger recieves a specially – designed souvenir ticket to commemorate their journey. After city tour, continuation towards Sarajevo. Lunch on route. Upon arrival in Sarajevo, accommodation at hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: SARAJEVO – MOSTAR – DUBROVNIK (281 km)
Breakfast at hotel and morning city tour. For over four hundred years, mosques, synagogues, Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches have been built and have stood side by side amidst Sarajevo giving the city its unique feel and adding to the Sarajevo image of being the "European Jerusalem". Walk through Baščaršija, the heart of old Sarajevo and visit to the Gazi Husrev Beg’s mosque, the most significant islamic building in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After City Tour, proceed towards Mostar. Upon arrival, lunch at the local restaurant and visit to the ancient Bazaar with the Old Bridge and to the typical turkish house. In the late afternoon, continuation to Dubrovnik. Upon arrival, accommodation at hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: DUBROVNIK – LOKRUM - DUBROVNIK
Breakfast at hotel. Morning city tour of « Adriatic Pearl ». This tour will reveal the finest sites of the old walled City as well as give an opportunity to view it from above at the spectacular panoramic spot. The walking part includes the visits to the Franciscan Monastery with Europe's oldest pharmacy and Rector’s Palace. The guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Old Town and introduce you to the history and culture of this magnificent city. Other splendid buildings will be viewed along the way. After visit, lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon boat ride to the Island of Lokrum. According to legend, Richard the Lion-heart shipwrecked in 1192 after returning home from the crusades and found himself cast ashore, safe on Lokrum, and he pledged to build a church on the island idebted for the salvation but at the plee of Dubrovnik citizens, the church was not built on Lokrum but in The City instead. That church is still there waiting for your visit. Visit to the Dead Sea. In the late afternoon, return back to hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: DUBROVNIK – SPLIT – TROGIR (236 km)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure by coach towards Split. Upon arrival, lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, sightseeing tour. Consisting of an imperial Roman palace that was taken over by the plebs and turned into a thronging city, central Split is an attraction in itself. There is no single must-see attraction here: it's really a question of time to stroll the palace's narrow, tunnel-like streets, where Roman, medieval and Renaissance buildings jostle together to form a unique urban jumble. Visit to the Cathedral, Diocletian's Cellars, Jupiter's Temple,....
After City Tour, proceed to Trogir, opened-air museum. Upon arrival, accommodation at hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: TROGIR – PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK – ZAGREB (380 km)
After breakfast at hotel, departure by coach Plitvice National Park. Upon arrival, lunch at the local restaurant.
After lunch, visit to the National Park, Croatia's most popular tourist attraction, which granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. The National Park covers a total area of 300 square kilometres, whilst the lakes join together over a distance of eight kilometres. There's also quite an altitude difference - the highest point is at 1,280m, the lowest at 380m - although the total height difference between the lakes themselves is only 135m. (Veliki Slap, the largest waterfall, is 70m tall).
In the afternoon, proceed towards Zagreb. Upon arrival, accommodation at hotel. In the evening, transfer to the restaurant for the typical farewell dinner. Overnight.
Day 8: ZAGREB
After breakfast, free time till the transfer to the Airport.
